Dabney & Co. is currently seeking a dedicated and professional Server to join our team. This vital role is centered on delivering superior customer service, ensuring prompt and accurate service of food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and inviting dining area. We are looking for candidates who excel in fast-paced environments and maintain a positive and efficient presence during busy periods.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer Assistance: Offer guidance and recommendations to guests, understanding their preferences to make suitable menu suggestions and answering any questions.
  • Order Management: Efficiently take and input food and beverage orders into the Point of Sale system, coordinating with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery to guests.
  • Staff Communication: Ensure seamless communication with kitchen and bar staff to facilitate precise and prompt order fulfillment.
  • Dietary Knowledge: Have a comprehensive understanding of various dietary needs and restrictions, including those based on health or religious reasons, to adequately serve all guests.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene protocols throughout food preparation, storage, and serving processes.
  • Customer Care: Deliver responsive, attentive, and efficient service, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for every guest.
  • Special Needs Accommodation: Provide assistance to guests with special needs, following appropriate guidelines to meet their specific requirements.
  • Payment Processing: Handle payments securely, with a strong focus on protecting guests' personal information.
  • Service Orientation: Constantly look for ways to help people and improve the dining experience.

Preferred Competencies:

  • Critical Thinking: Employ logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of different solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Local Tourism Knowledge: Be informed about local attractions, events, accommodations, dining options, and leisure activities to enhance guests' experiences.
  • Alcohol Service Laws: Knowledge of national and local legislation regulating the sale and service of alcoholic beverages.
  • TIPS Certification: Certification in Training for Intervention ProcedureS, demonstrating a commitment to responsible alcohol service, is preferred.

Requirements:

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Experience in food service, such as waiting tables, bartending, or hosting.
  • Capability to maintain professionalism and work efficiently in a bustling environment.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to suggest improvements to processes.
  • A history of providing exceptional customer service in fast-paced settings.
  • Availability for night and weekend shifts as needed.
