Meet Jormilit Garcia:
Jormilit Garcia, based in Kalamazoo, is a rising force in the jazz world and a standout vocalist in the Jazz Studies program at Western Michigan University. She is also a member of the nationally acclaimed Jason Max Ferdinand Singers, performing at prestigious venues including Lincoln Center and The Kennedy Center alongside artists such as Jacob Collier. With deep musical ties to Miami, she has performed backup for global icons including The Wailers, Shakira, Gloria Estefan, and Pedro Capó. In Kalamazoo, she performs with Gold Company under the direction of Greg Jasperse. Her performances are a heartfelt celebration of Latin identity, musical excellence, and expressive storytelling.
