Meet the Artist
Jormilit Garcia, currently based in Kalamazoo, MI, is a standout vocalist enrolled in the prestigious Jazz Studies program at Western Michigan University. A member of the renowned Jason Max Ferdinand Singers, she has graced national stages from New York’s Lincoln Center to Washington D.C.'s Kennedy Center, including performances with the legendary Jacob Collier. Her Miami roots run deep, with background credits alongside The Wailers, Shakira, Gloria Estefan, and Pedro Capó. In Kalamazoo, she lends her voice to the acclaimed vocal jazz ensemble Gold Company, under the direction of Greg Jasperse. Jormilit’s performances celebrate her Venezuelan identity, bringing heartfelt Latin melodies to life with every note.
